GB Team Qualify at BJK Cup

It was a fantastic effort by team GB this weekend as they secured their spot at the Billie Jean King Cup Finals in Shenzhen, after a nail-biting 2-1 win over Netherlands.

An inspiring display by the British team, which featured Tennis First Alumni Katie Boulter, Harriet Dart and Jodie Burrage, came down to the final doubles match which Katie and Jodie sealed in style against an undefeated pair 6-2, 6-2.

The team was captained by former grantee and Tennis First Ambassador Anne Keothavong who knows firsthand how much of a privilege playing for your country is and how these weeks often bring out the best in players as it’s a rare chance to play in a team environment.

Well done to the whole team including the support staff and coaches. We look forward to cheering the team on later this year!
