Draper Hits Top 10
Jack Draper broke in to the world’s top 10 for the first time this week on the back of winning his biggest title at the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells, an ATP Tour Masters 1000. With a new found confidence and calmness on the big stage, Jack beat Holger Rune 6-2, 6-2 in the Final, a victory which raises his ranking to No.7.
Jack becomes one of 5 British players on the Men's tour to have won an ATP Masters 1000 title (Greg Rusedski, Tim Henman, Andy Murray and Cam Norrie) and the fifth to break into the top 10 in the Open Era.
In a post match interview Jack spoke to the Tennis Channel about how he now believes that he belongs with the best and that this new inner self-belief has allowed him to settle down emotionally and build his confidence.
En route to the final, he beat Taylor Fritz, Ben Shelton and Carlos Alcaraz.
