Career High and Title for Jacob Fearnley

Former grantee and Texas Christian University graduate Jacob Fearnley went head to head against another former grantee, Charlie Broom in the Rothesay Open final in Nottingham on Sunday.

In a match that went the distance, Jacob came out on top to clinch the victory, 4-6, 6-4, 6-3 and claim his first ATP Challenger Tour title. He’s the fourth British man to win the Paul Hutchins trophy following Andy Murray, Dan Evans and Greg Rusedski.

Jacob will enter the top 275 for the first time on the ATP Tour rankings list, a huge step in his tennis journey and a brilliant achievement this week in Nottingham.

We wish Jacob all the best for the rest of the grass court season.
