Action around the world!
Whilst most of us are still in lockdown, some of our Grantees, past and present, have managed to travel abroad for various tournaments and they have done very well in the process. Here are some recent results to report:
Closest to home, Matilda Mutavdzic reached the quarter finals of the W15 tournament in Villena, Spain.
Amelia Bissett and Marni Banks reached the quarter finals of the W15 doubles event in Sharm El Sheik Egypt and Aidan McHugh reached the quarter finals of the same event with his doubles partner Anirudh Chandrasekar.
Further afield in South Africa, Jodie Burrage, who has had an excellent run recently, reached the semi finals of the W25 event in Potchefstroom, plus the quarter finals of the doubles event with her partner, Bjorklund.
Past Grantees, Eden Silva and Naomi Broady reached the finals of the same doubles event in South Africa, losing out narrowly in a Championships tiebreak 6-10, but showing great form. In the Men's ATP Challenge event also in Potchesfrstoom, Liam Broady had an excellent run, reaching the finals of the singles but sadly losing out to Benjamin Bonzi from France. Broady teamed up with Jack Draper in the doubles event and they reached the semi finals.
Well done to all players on some great results!
