Tennis First Women Fly The Flag!

The ladies have been busy on court over the last few weeks and we've seen plenty of Tennis First success, from both past and present Grantees. It's been fantastic to follow the live action and to see the elite players back on court again after lockdown.

At the National Tennis Centre in Roehampton, Katie Boulter was a worthy winner of the Progress Tour Women's Championships, coming back after a set down to beat Jodie Burrage in a closely fought match, with a final score of 3-6, 7-6, 6-2.

In Division 1 of the same event, 17 year old Amelia Bissett had a fantastic week winning the final against 19 year old Erin Richardson 6-3, 6-2. All the more impressive as Amelia raced through the tournament without dropping a set!

Over at St. George's Hill in Surrey, in the 2nd week of the UK Pro Series, former Tennis First Grantee (and new Ambassador) Naomi Broady sealed off an excellent week's work with an incredibly tight win over Emily Appleton 7-6, 7-6. A fantastic week for both our former Grantees!

We look forward to following more live tennis over the weeks to come and will keep you posted on our Grantee success.
