Tennis First Success at British Tour

There were plenty of past Tennis First Grantees back on court in the LTA's first British Tour event, which took place at the National Tennis Centre last week. In blustery conditions throughout the week, the Women's British Tour Premier event culminated in a closely fought final between Emma Raducanu and Jodie Burrage, with 17 year old Raducanu holding her nerve in a championship tie break to take the title 6-4, 2-6, 10-4.

In an equally highly contested LTA Fast4 doubles competition, Emily Appleton and her partner, Yuriko Miyazaki, took home the title, overcoming no.1 seeds Naomi Broady and Samantha Murray 4-3, 4-2 in the final.

The British Tour continues until July 26th, and it's great to have so many British players back on court, so watch this space for more news and results from former Grantees.
