Tennis First's Training Camp In Bolton

Tennis First hosted a training camp at Bolton Arena to prepare players ahead of the 12U Tennis Europe competition at Wrexham Tennis Centre.

The camp, led by Suzi Riley, took players through a physical warm up followed by tactical drills to help players understand the game and shot selections to give themselves the best chance to win the point. There was an enjoyable, professional atmosphere and it was wonderful to see the players working together on court.

It was also important for us to welcome coaches to join in and participate in the camp to work with their players. Once in Wrexham for the tournament, Suzi offered pre-match advice and a follow up afterwards to discuss what went well and areas to learn from.

The camp offered a superb experience for young players, especially as they start to navigate international level competition. A special thank you to former grantee Marni Banks who stopped by to offer some words of encouragement to the participants, always great to see professional players spending time with aspiring juniors.
