Pekko claims first Tennis Europe singles title

Pekko won his first singles Tennis Europe title last week in Vierumäki, Finland after already claiming four doubles titles this year. He enjoyed a great week of performances, winning all six of his matches in straight sets. He defeated the #2 player in Finland in 12U 6-1, 6-2 in the group stage and again 6-1, 6-3 in the Final. Pekko celebrated with a relaxing Finnish sauna followed by a plunge into the ice pool!

He is now looking forward to competing on the European red clay for the remainder of the summer and then onto UK National Championships in West Hants and Nottingham. We wish him the best of luck for the rest of this clay season!
