College Round up!

We don't often note the successes of the Grantees who have decided to go down the U.S College route with their tennis, but many young players choose this valuable path as part of their tennis journey and they achieve great success along the way, whilst continuing their education and passion for tennis at the same time.

Here are just a few examples of some of our past Grantees' achievements over the last few weeks within the College system.

There was recognition for our former grantee, Indianna Spink, this month when she achieved the 'Southeastern Conference Freshman of the Week' award. She plays at the University of Arkansas (alongside Morgan Cross).

Morgan Cross went undefeated in singles and doubles and earned herself the UTR ITA 'Player of the Week' award. This award honours a collegiate tennis player who's increase in UTR rating throughout the previous week was indicative of their high level of performance, including notable wins such as clinching matches and upsets.

Auburn's Georgie Axon won the 'Southeastern Conference Player of the Week'. Georgie played a key part of the Tigers' weekend sweep, winning both of her singles matches as Auburn defeated 20th-ranked South Carolina and 22nd-ranked Florida for the first time in the program’s history.

Congratulations to all girls and we look forward to hearing more of their success stories, plus others who have also gone down the College route.
