A weekly round up

Another busy week for our Grantees, past and present, in far flung locations all over the world!

Former Grantee, Liam Broady, did incredibly well to qualify for the Miami Open after winning two three-set matches in qualifying. He lost a tough battle in three sets in the opening round, but showed great resilience and promise for the season. Jack Draper received a wild card for the same tournament, but sadly had to retire in his opening match with heat exhaustion. We wish him a speedy recovery!

Katie Boulter had a fantastic first round match, beating Pliskova in three sets, but then sadly fell to Elise Mertens (16th seed) in the second round. However, Katie has certainly cemented her place in these top tournaments and is proving herself to be such a tenacious player, so we look forward to seeing her continue this form throughout the season.

Aidan McHugh reached the quarter finals in Pune, India, at the M15 event. This was his third week in India and he is on tremendous form - so keep it up Aidan!

Back in Europe, George Loffhagen reached the final of the M15 event in Poitiers, France, having come through qualifying and beating the number 3 seed along the way. He finally fell to 4th seed, Lucas Poullain, in the final, but should be very proud of his performance!

Finally, 16 year old Matilda Mutavdzic reached the final of the Singles event at the W15 event in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt, knocking out the number one seed along the way.

This is another great result for her as she transitions in to the senior game and we are very excited about watching her progress even more.
