4th Annual Get Ready! Competition
The 4th annual Get Ready! by Tennis First Competition took place at the National Tennis Centre this weekend, gathering the top young players in the country to compete against each other and test themselves on the ball colour up.
Suzi Riley, took the warm up before matches got started and the Competition was underway for another year.
The young participants played in a round robin followed by a knock out, which saw Sahara Baptiste and Fletcher Davies crowned winners of the 10U tournament, with Diana Florence and Jack Doran finishing runners up. There were many tightly contested matches and a fantastic learning experience for all of the players.
The 9U invitational tournament challenged the participants in a competitive format on a green ball. Congratulations to Chayah Falola who won the girls event and Amal Khan who placed runner up. On the boys side, Zac Hartono won and Demir Cicek came second overall. A pleasure to watch the effort and determination shown by all the players to give it their all.
Thank you to Mark Ceban and Honey Robinson who presented the trophies to this year’s participants. So inspiring to be following both of your tennis journeys. Also a shoutout to Dan Evans and Andy Murray who stopped and took photos, what a moment for the younger generations!
