We need to find people who believe in our cause and are willing to help us make a difference for young players with potential. We have two important objectives: to increase awareness of our work and to raise money to fund disadvantaged young players’ development.
There are six main ways you can help us:
Spread The Word
As an individual we would love you to sign up to our mailing list, which will allow us to advise you of our events and successes, which we do roughly once a month. Simply drop us an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and ask to join in!
But even more valuable is to be an ambassador for Tennis First. We would love you to convince your tennis friends that ours is a cause worth supporting and to persuade them also to sign up. Can you find 10 (or more) people to become a friend to Tennis First?
Charity of Choice Programme
If you’re a member of a club, could you help us persuade it to join out ‘Charity of Choice’ programme? The programme typically works with clubs to run fun events – very often with a visit from one of our Patrons or grantees – to raise modest amounts of money for Tennis First. Taken together these small amounts add up to a significant sum and form an important part of the charity’s annual income. Drop us an email to email@example.com if you think you can help!
Take part in any of the events we run either as an individual or corporately. All our events are designed to be fun so as an individual you’ re bound to have a good time.
Corporate participation includes: event sponsorship, hospitality packages, and group participation.
See the Events Page for more details.
We would like to build a comprehensive network of local fundraisers covering the country, because although the high profile events catch the eye, it is the high volume of small initiatives which gives Tennis First a sound base.
And because Tennis First is a very specific charity, the event concepts must sometimes be ingenious but must always be fun for the participants.
If you would like to help by giving some time to our cause, please contact Ken Weatherley at firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you would like to make a donation, however small, you can do so directly in two ways: either by cheque, made payable to ‘Tennis First’ and mailed to:
Ken Weatherley, Tennis First, Westbrook House, Fairfield Road, Shawford, Winchester SO21 2DA
or by direct transfer to our bank:
Nat West, 149 Church Road, Barnes, London SW13 9HS

How Gift Aid works
Gift Aid is an easy way for charities to increase the value of gifts of money from UK taxpayers by claiming back the basic rate tax paid by the donor. And because we are a registered charity (No.1075649) your donation can be even more valuable through the Gift Aid scheme.
When an individual, sole trader or partnership gives money to Tennis First through Gift Aid, we can take their donation – which is money they’ve already paid tax on – and reclaim basic rate tax from HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) on its ‘gross’ equivalent – the amount before basic rate tax was deducted.
If you make a donation to Tennis First, please make sure you complete a Gift Aid Declaration to go with it – it is so valuable to us and only takes a minute.
