Victoria Allen has won consecutive tournaments in South Africa on the ITF Junior Tour. First she won the Grade 4 in Stellenbosch, which turned out to be an event of two halves for the Derbyshire player. She waltzed through the first 3 rounds with hardly the loss of a game, but the semi finals and finals were three seat affairs, Victoria recovering for a first set loss on both occasions. Then, for good measure, she added the double title with her Croatia partner Noa Krznaric.
All good prep for the next week’s Grade 3 in the same location – and with the same result! But this time there was no messing about with 3 set matches as the 17 year old cleaned up in style in both singles and doubles. All of which means she enters the top 100 of the ITF Junior world rankings at 91. Progress like this could give her a chance of playing the junior Grand Slams in 2019 – her last junior year!
